Gartel Innovations was founded by experienced mason Garry Wattel, as the fruit of years of experience in the industry.

Garry was introduced to masonry construction while still a teen. He worked as an employee in the industry for nearly a decade, mostly in residential.

In 1992, Garry entered the masonry business in partnership with his brother Gerald, and the pair have placed particular accent on quality work delivered on time.

As the company moved more into commercial masonry, Garry and his brother realized they needed to beef up their scaffolding equipment, adding mast climber / hydraulic scaffolding in 2002.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Several years ago, a job that required placing multiple 500 lb. stones at great height and in unusually tight working spaces led Garry on a path of development, which culminated in the The GGP Lifter (so named for the initials of three Wattel brothers involved in the product's development). With about three years of experiencing the great benefits of working with this tool, Garry is distributing it to other masons, as well as working on other tools that will help make life easier for others in the industry.
